ໂອກາດສູງສຸດ, ຊັບພະຍາກອນຕໍາ່ສຸດທີ່: ວິທີການຮຽນຮູ້ບາງສິ່ງບາງຢ່າງໃນການກັກກັນ

“Great quarantine time! optimists cheered up a few weeks ago. “Learn Chinese, reread the classics, take online courses, start doing yoga…” A million plans and all the resources are at our disposal. Or not?

Since the beginning of the quarantine, a huge amount of free expert content has appeared on the Internet. Open online broadcasts of fitness training, self-development courses with completely different accents — from esoteric to the most applied, the opportunity to watch the best productions of the Bolshoi Theater while lying under the covers. You can even learn a new profession — free copywriting and SMM courses to help.

But here’s the paradox: subscriptions in online cinemas are the most popular. And the reason for this is anxiety. It is impossible to force yourself to focus and start learning new things when you are in a constant state of anxiety. All the resources of the body are aimed at responding to danger as quickly as possible.

At the physiological level, this is explained by the fact that the same hormones and brain regions are responsible for the assimilation of new information and the execution of the “hit and run” command in a critical situation. That is why all plans for “successful success” and expectations to emerge from quarantine enlightened and diversified crumble like a house of cards.

And people turn on the 128th episode of «Friends» — just to distract themselves from feelings of anxiety

Realizing the futility of efforts in yet another attempt to master the settings of targeted advertising, many add to anxiety a sense of their own stupidity and unfulfilled expectations. Needless to say, this does not add efficiency and enthusiasm in learning new things?

And then people turn on the 128th episode of «Friends» or «The Big Bang Theory», watch «Contagion» (second place in terms of views in online cinemas in Russia) or adult movies. Just to take my mind off the anxiety.

The method is not very effective — because it is temporary.

What to do? How to reduce anxiety and return yourself to a state where you are able to perceive information and learn?

1.Create a system

Make a daily routine, a schedule for studying, eating, working and sleeping. When the day is organized, you do not have to worry about everyday things: forgot to eat, went to bed late, did not order groceries.

2. Find the optimal format for perceiving information

How do you learn the material better — by reading, listening, watching videos? Do not waste your resource on «overpowering» yourself — if you learn more effectively by seeing a speaker in front of you, do not waste time on audio lectures.

3. Enlist the support of loved ones

You can start a tradition of a daily family gathering, where you will talk about what interesting things you learned today. This way, your loved ones will be aware of what is happening, and you will have an incentive to delve deeper into the issue in order to explain the complex in simple words.

4. Choose what maximizes your talents

By learning what you are inherently talented at, you are in a state of flow. The result comes much faster, and you get great pleasure from the process.

Do you love to communicate with people, would like to perform in front of a large audience, but are not confident in yourself? Try online public speaking courses. Do you endlessly write “on the table” and do not share your thoughts openly? Writing and copywriting courses are waiting for you.

Remember: quarantine will pass, but we will stay. And even if you don’t upgrade your talents or master Chinese, but watch all the seasons of Game of Thrones, you will still learn something new and interesting.
